My father told me to find a job that I would love doing, because he didn’t, and that has made all the difference. I now work everyday with people I love, in an industry that has a real ability to help others. It’s not hard for me to go the extra mile to make you happy, and to see your vision through to the end. I want to build relationships with my clients, and the viewers of the media I produce. This isn’t a job, it’s my passion, and my art form.
I am currently directing, and producing a feature length documentary that has taken me all around the world. I enjoy projects of all sizes, because I feel like variety is the absolute best aspect of this industry. I keep my rates competitive – focusing more on the merit of the project, rather than what the project’s budget is limited by.
I had a chance to sit down with Spike Jonze a little while ago. He has always been a major influence on my life, and my career. I what course of action he would recommend for someone in my position, and he told me that I simply needed to shoot as much as possible, that he had produced a thousand projects before making anything he thought was good, and I have taken that to heart since.
